A Mom, Two Kids, and a Kitchen Table Full of Crayons
Brainy Chipmunk began with a simple, personal moment. Sarah — a mother of two wonderfully curious kids — sat at the kitchen table one afternoon, frustrated. Her children loved learning, but the worksheets she found online were either too boring, too expensive, or just not right for her kids’ personalities. So she did what moms do best: she made her own.
She started creating coloring pages that doubled as spelling practice. Math worksheets tucked inside adventure stories. Grammar exercises dressed up as treasure maps. Her kids loved them. Their friends wanted copies. Their teachers started asking where they came from.
That spark of passion — a mom who just wanted her children to enjoy learning — grew into Brainy Chipmunk: a full resource hub where thousands of families can download free, high-quality printables that make education feel like play.

Every child deserves access to enriching, joyful learning materials — regardless of budget. We believe that strong foundations in reading, writing, math, and grammar open doors that stay open for a lifetime. Our mission is to make those foundations fun, free, and accessible to every family and classroom around the world.
Why Black & White
Most of our worksheets are intentionally designed in black and white. Why? Because we know real life means printing at home on a regular printer. B&W prints cost a fraction of color prints, never run out of the “wrong” ink, and let kids personalize with their own crayons and markers — making each sheet uniquely theirs.

That’s why we design our worksheets to minimize ink usage with our black-and-white-first approach, and we encourage parents to print only what they need, reuse printed sheets as scrap paper, and where possible, use recycled paper stock.
We’re also exploring digital-first options for families who prefer zero-print learning, and we’re committed to keeping our website carbon-light with efficient hosting. Teaching kids to love learning and love the planet aren’t separate goals — they’re the same one.
